Film made for IMAX!
The God of Thunder returns for part 4 of Thor: Love and Thunder to discover in theaters now! Marvel Studios once again commissioned Taika Waititi to produce this opus, 5 years after the success of Thor: Ragnarok. As for the former, this film chose to film its most spectacular sequences in the format inseparable from the greatest films, IMAX. Shot with IMAX-certified digital cameras, the feature film thus offers over 35 minutes in ultra-wide and immersive 1.90:1 aspect ratio.

After the confrontation with Thanos, adventures with Star-Lord and his associates are no longer enough to satisfy the son of Odin. Together with the mighty Thor, his ex-lover Korg and Valkyrie, Thor and his good team must face the terrible Gor who threatens to kill all the gods of the universe… Chris Hemsworth in the title role is still excellent, supported by the return of Tessa Thompson as well as Natalie Portman. But it’s Christian Bale who bursts onto the screen in a dark and unexpected role as the Big Bad.
Spectacular pictures
The film creates a rich environment from the start. Here we are taken to a mysterious desert where we could almost feel the specks of dust suffocating us… IMAX allows you to immediately immerse yourself in the story of Gori and his cursed sword. The definition and IMAX color palette allow viewers to truly immerse themselves in its dark soul. Thus, an action sequence entirely in black and white becomes a sensory experience, not a single fragment of which is missed.

Whether visiting a miraculous city guarding the world’s deities or crossing the interstellar void carried by giant goats, the feature film is packed with detail created on an IMAX screen that offers 26% more images than traditional theaters.
The soundtrack was completely composed for IMAX
If the perfectly calibrated audio for each room allows you to really feel every blow of the Stormbreaker or Mjölnir, the hero’s favorite weapon, the soundtrack created by Michael Giacchino is all the more noticeable for its power and delicacy.
Thus, the powerful sound of the IMAX system allows you, wherever you are in the room, to enjoy the slightest note and the loudest clap of thunder with surgical precision. Indeed, each IMAX film benefits from full remastering under the direction of the director to best honor his creative vision.
Are you ready for the big leap?
So, are you ready to follow Thor’s quest to an IMAX theater near you? Whether it’s 26% more images, captivating visual sequences or vivid and fully mastered audio, this kind of adventure can only be experienced in IMAX.
Only the world’s most innovative cinematic experience allows you to truly immerse yourself in Thor: Love and Thunder, and we want more!
