Doubt on France 2: will the series with Odile Vuillemin have a 2nd season?

The end of the investigation is near in Un Suspicion… On Wednesday, October 23 at 9pm, France 2 invites its viewers to discover the outcome of the series in four episodes, hosted by Odile Vuillimin and Joyce Bibring (soon to star TF1 with Florent Paire!) . The result of the face-to-face meeting of Isabel and Matilda (their characters) promises to be epic!

A second season for ‘Un Suspicion’?

Odile Vuillemin gives us an ambiguous interpretation of this black widow, and Joyce Bibring seems more determined than ever in the shoes of this police officer who wants to expose the culprit at all costs… but will this story have a sequel?

Unfortunately, no… Un Suspicion was actually created as a mini-series. Did you know that author Franck Olivier (who also humorously returned to a mild disagreement with Odile Vuillemin at the beginning of the project) was loosely inspired by real and horrifying French stories?

A story inspired by the news

Indeed, Daniel Cano survived a fire that broke out in his home in 2008. On sleeping pills, he still survived this tragedy… before losing his life a month later! A few weeks later, accordingly, the victim was found in a burning car.

His wife Manuela Gonzalez is suspected of his murder! the reason Get the money from your husband’s life insurance… but the principal wouldn’t be interested on the first try! She lost two previous husbands really strangely…

After years of trial, Manuela Gonzalez was sentenced to 30 years in prison for the murder of her last companion. As for her first two husbands, insufficient evidence has been found to prove her direct connection to this death…but suspicion remains, and thus she inherited the nickname “The Black Widow of Yser”.
