The Oscar favorite will have a release date in Brazil

Attention movie buffs. One of the heavyweights competing for best picture at next year’s Oscars will soon premiere in Brazil. Universal Pictures Brasil has revealed the arrival date of The brutalist in Brazilian cinemas.

With a running time of 3 hours and 33 minutes, the film was acquired by the renowned A24, a major distributor of the moment and responsible for hits such as “Tudo em Todo Lugar ao Same Time”, “Aftersun” and “Lady Bird: A Hora de Voar“ .

At the moment, The brutalist is considered one of the favorites for the 2025 Oscar for Best Film. The film gained momentum after winning the Best Director award at the 2024 Venice Film Festival.

The release date of the production in Brazil is February 2, 2025. Before being screened, the film will have two screenings at the 48th edition of the Sao Paulo International Film Festival. It will be presented to the public of the event on the 21st, at 8.20 pm, at the Cinemateca Espaço Petrobras, and on the 26th, at 7.15 pm, at the Cinesesc.
