An administrative procedure was initiated by the Eastern Military Command after a video of a party held at the 26th Parachute Infantry Battalion, Rio de Janeiro, was leaked on social media. In the images it is possible to see soldiers dancing and jumping to the sound of funk, during a barbecue in the barracks located in Vila Militar, in the western area.

According to the CBNsome soldiers consumed alcohol during the celebration, which is prohibited within army units. Images posted on X show dozens of members of the corporation shirtless, singing and dancing to loud music. In addition to the officers, there were also loudspeakers and tents on site.

The soldiers were arrested in the 26th battalion last Wednesday, the 23rd, due to the celebration. THE Earth have asked the Eastern Military Command for more information on the case, but so far there has been no response.
THE CBNthe institution reported that the officers’ behavior was “in disagreement with recommended standards”, and therefore initiated an administrative procedure to investigate the case, “so that appropriate measures can be taken”.
