This is the biggest release of the week for Netflix. The platform released Loups-Garous, a family comedy-style adaptation of the famous role-playing game, online a few days ago. A board game that has found its place in our homes since its creation, about twenty years ago. We owe this version to two men, Philippe de Pallier and Hervé Marley.
The latter two worked closely with Netflix and director Francois Ouzan so that this version of Thiercelieux’s Werewolves was both faithful to the game, but neither too violent nor too scary. purpose? Offering pure family entertainment, for young and old.
And according to the first opinions of viewers, the bet is half successful.
An easter egg for true fans!
Philippe de Pallier and Hervé Marley were kindly invited to the set of Loups-Garous in Prague last year to visit the scenes and above all to make a little surprise! If you are a hardcore fan of the game and know what these two creators look like, then they are almost impossible to miss.

The two men appear in the last third of the film, at 1:08 and 37 seconds to be exact, and Susan Clement’s character is threatened with death. Frank Dubosky comes to her rescue with a guitar piece that captivates the crowd. Including two villagers reacting to the lyrics of a song (very modern at the time) performed by a French actor. Philippe de Pallier returns to this experience in this article Netflix :
“Francois Ouzan showed us around the set before everyone arrived. First we were surprised to see that the coat of arms that we had imagined and proposed to Francois appeared on all the houses: it was about us. The decor, in the old way, was very. Impressive.
Then we put on our costumes—bourgeois for me, Hervé for a more standard medieval man—and as we left we saw two hundred extras commotion as if this village had suddenly died. We really felt like we crossed a space-time portal! It was very impressive.”
Werewolves is available on Netflix.
