The recording may replace “A Grande Conquista” with “Power Couple” in 2025

Rachel Sheherazade’s competition had terrible ratings during the time it aired

The reality in the risk area

Record TV is reportedly very disappointed with “A Great Conquest,” a reality show hosted by Rachel Scheherazade that failed to attract an audience in its second season and became a ratings failure. According to some editorialists, the broadcaster could replace the attraction with a more popular format, “Power Couple Brasil”.

The broadcaster has not yet officially announced the return of the reality show which tests the partnership and complicity of couples. The order behind the scenes is to maintain total secrecy on the matter while senior management decides on replacement of programs.

Flopped!

“A Grande Conquista 2” proved to lack the strength to compete in the ratings, averaging 3.8 points in Greater São Paulo, which placed the reality show behind SBT’s programming. Overall, the competition did not interest viewers or generate involvement during conflicts or the participation of controversial names.

Scheherazade’s reality show was also outside the TOP 10 most watched programs on Record TV, causing the broadcaster to lose the audience of the soap operas that captured viewers’ attention.

The power of couples

On the other hand, “Power Couple” achieved an average of 10 audience points in the first seasons presented by Roberto Justus in 2016 and 2017. Shortly after, the celebrity competition was entrusted to Gugu Liberato (1959-2019), who managed to maintain a reasonable average of between 7 and 8 points in 2018 and 2019.

In the last two years the reality show has dropped to an average of only 6.3 and 4.8 points respectively between 2021 and 2022. The “bad” numbers are still higher than those of “The Great Conquest”. The problem, however, is that the attraction has lost advertising interest. Left without sponsorship, the reality show ended up shelved due to the high costs of the format, mainly due to the fees requested by the artists.
