It is a deduction game based on the popular Death Note series
Bandai Namco has just announced Death Note Killer Within, the first deduction game based on the legendary anime series, which will be released on November 5th for PC, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. It will also be available on PlayStation Plus at launch and can be redeemed by subscribe until December 2nd.
The game presents the premise of the series in a multiplayer experience, where a mysterious notebook has the power to kill anyone whose name is entered into it.
In Death Note Killer Within, players participate in crossplay matches with up to 10 people to choose between life and death. Participants join one of two teams and must discover each other’s identities to eliminate Detective L or get Kira’s Death Note.
Kira and L are similar, each hiding their true identities as they fight for control of the game. Players will then have to use their intelligence, joining Kira or L’s team to find the hidden Death Note, in a dispute between lies and truth that will end with the victory of one of the teams.
Players can take on one of four roles: Kira, Kira’s Follower, L, or Investigator, each with unique characteristics. With each role assigned, players can develop high-stakes strategies to adapt to the match.
Additionally, players can customize their names and avatars in the game with up to seven types of accessories and special effects displayed during key moments in the experience.
