One of the greatest successes of French cinema in your home tonight, this is a gift!

Legendary duo for cult comedy! If we say French humor, sister Marie-Odile, pumpkin shooting or tea two, what do you think? At La Grande Vadrouille of course!

  • Want another TV tip tonight? We recommend this movie 4.2 out of 5, a perfect mix between an adventure movie and a war movie.

This cult comedy by Gérard Uri was released in cinemas in 1966 (The Adventures of Rabbi Jacob, La Folie des grandeurs, Le Cerveau, etc.) The action takes place in 1942, during the Second World War. After their plane is attacked by German forces, three English pilots land in different locations in Paris.

They are aided by two French civilians, a conductor played by Louis de Funes and a house painter played by Bourville, who agree to let them into the free zone: thus they become, in spite of themselves, actors of the resistance.

Everyone knows this scenario and yet we never get tired of it. Also, did you know that La Grande Vadrouille is considered the best film of Louis de Funes’ career according to AlloCiné viewers?

It’s all (not) so dirty!

best movie Louis de FunesBut not only that! According to Internet users, it is also the best French comedy of all time, which explains its rating of 4.3 out of 5.

And the least we can say is this Big Mop Known not only in France! A Mexican director paid tribute to him by including a long scene from the comedy in his film called Roma. This is Alfonso Cuarón (who has several successes such as Gravity, The Sons of Man and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban).

And whoever says cult film, says essential lines like: “Tea for two and two for tea, I for you and you for me”, “My bike, my shoes…and now what?”, “That’s all I’m hungry for! It wasn’t bad, it was really bad!”.

Finally, with its 17 million viewers, Big Mop It held the top spot at the French box office for a long time before being overtaken in 2008 by Bienvenue chez les Ch’tis (20 million admissions) and Intouchables (19 million admissions).

But be sure that to this day this pure moment of humor takes the third place in the rating!

Tonight on France 2 at 21:10.
