The trailer for Bridget Jones 4: The Latest Movie Starring Renee Zellweger is finally here!

The most evil movie hero is back! Nine years after Bridget Jones’s Son, the third installment in the saga, and 24 years after Sharon Maguire’s first film, Helen Fielding’s madcap heroine returns for the fourth (and final) episode.

Bridget Jones: Mad About Her Renee Zellweger reprises the role that made her famous. Let us remind you that in the third opus, the heroine becomes pregnant and marries the father of her child, Mark Darcy (Colin Firth).

This new installment takes place a few years later, Bridget Jones is 52 years old and has two children. After the death of Mark Darcy, with whom she lived happily for ten years, she is still in search of the ideal man. But getting back into the celibate market isn’t so easy… The trailer released today tells us that even though her character is supposedly dead, Colin Firth Appears at least a few times in flashbacks.

Directed by Michael Morris, who replaces Sharon Maguire and Biban Kidron, the feature film clearly sees the return of RenĂ©e Zellweger, but also Emma Thompson, Shirley Henderson, Jim Broadbent, Gemma Jones and…Hugh Grant!

The Return of Hugh Grant

In the absence of the third part, Daniel Cleaver will return for the fourth film, but apparently not as love interest If the trailer is to be believed. Daniel is mentioned briefly in Bridget Jones’s Child and is believed to have died in a plane crash. However, at the end of the film, Bridget learns that her former love has survived. Thus, the writers left the door open for a possible return of the character.

Leo Woodall and Renee Zellweger

Newcomers to the saga world will also appear: Chiwetel Ejiofor, Leo Woodall (One Day), Isla Fisher (Inevitable), Leila Farzad and Nico Parker (The Last of Us).

And it is the young American actor Leo Woodall who plays the role of one of Bridget’s new suitors. But this budding romance must be disrupted by Bridget’s suspicions about her relationship with a younger man and by her children’s teacher, played by Chiwetel Ejiofor…

Bridget Jones: Mad About Him hits theaters on February 12, 2025.
