Anais is afraid of her new life

In the swamp room, Enzo and Vicki question Milan about Anais’ condition. The latter explains to them that he waited too long for the operation, but since he still has hearing left, he should be able to wear a hearing aid. He plans to accompany her to an appointment with a hearing professional.

For his part, Teissier is urging all guests since last Friday to apologize for canceling the tasting. He claims there was a problem with the cold room and the menu for Anais’ event will be redesigned once it’s fixed. Antoine and Clotilde still try to convince their boss that the young woman probably won’t be able to return to the kitchen. Teissier asks them to refrain from all this.

Teissier only admits to his wife that he feels guilty for what happened to Anais. He regrets putting too much pressure on her. Still, Constance points out that Anais is suffering from a genetic disease and is putting pressure on herself. In any case, Teissier is not going to let go. He remembers the unwavering support she gave him when he lost his sense of taste and smell.

At the hospital, Anais meets an audiologist who gives her hearing aids. Then it takes care of adjusting the settings as best as possible. At first, Anais is disturbed by all the voices that are heard at the same level. After completing the settings, he can hear the voices of those he is talking to, but with a robotic effect.

Returning to her neighbor in the swamp, Anais is visited by Taysier, who confides in her about his crime. He also warns her about drugs. Anais promises him that she will never touch him again. He claims he will be on his feet to reschedule his event menu. Teissier, meanwhile, retains his spot as Double A’s manager.

Anais then goes to her room in isolation as her devices start whistling. Milan then explains to Teissier that the devices pick up all the sounds around her and that Anais has to constantly focus on the voices of the interlocutors, which is particularly tiring. He can be rehabilitated, but it may take a very long time.

A little later, Anais leaves the room while Vicky and Carla prepare dinner. The surrounding sounds become unbearable for Anais. Milan takes her outside to the terrace to calm her down. Anais opens her devices and admits that she will never tolerate them. A tearful young woman realizes that she may never return to the kitchen. Milan takes her in her arms to comfort her…

Lionel should manage Inez

At the Lanneau house, Zoë finds a note from Ines’s homeroom teacher in her notebook highlighting her failing grades. Ines replies that her sister should find the boy instead of being on his back, adding that it’s not her fault that Gary rejected her. At the end of her nerves, Zoe entrusts her little sister to Lionel.

At the atelier, Lionel no longer knows which direction to take his concept after the secret critic. So are several of his comrades. Mehdi advises them not to think about it anymore. Unlike the others, Lionel has to come home early to take care of Ines. She tries to get him to do his math homework, but to no avail. They are still yelling at each other.

Lionel asks Tom and Billy for help. The latter advises him to choose a positive education: that is, to communicate with kindness instead of shouting at each other.

Antoine loves Angela

At a local cafe, Colin and Berenice tell Carla that they tried to hire Angel as a market gardener at the Institute, but their plan didn’t work. Carla is upset that they were acting behind her back. He also points out that this was a very bad idea because Rose would not really appreciate a face-to-face meeting with Angel. Also, Carla reminds Colin that he still hasn’t told his mom about him.

A little later, Carla confides in Suleiman that Colin is her cousin. At the same time, the latter comes to apologize to him.

Meanwhile, Antoine admits to Rose that he’s having trouble finding someone to fill the position of market gardener. He thought he had found a rare gem, but he refused. When Rose sees him talking about this candidate, she suspects that he has caught her eye. Antoine confirms this to him. Rose urges him to call her, obviously not knowing who it is.

At the end of the day, Coline tries to talk to her mother about Carla, but she won’t listen, too distracted by the messages on her phone. Taking advantage of the turn of the back, Coline looks around and discovers that her mother will meet Antoine on Wednesday.
