Globoplay has released the poster and trailer for the live-action series of “Monica’s Gang”. The preview highlights that the characters are no longer children, with Monica and Magali discovering the lipstick. But, according to Cebolinha, they have not yet become teenagers.

The trailer also includes a reference to a famous horror scene “Carrie the Strange” (1976) when it announces that the plot will have a mystery. But instead of pig’s blood, the victim is bathed in chocolate syrup.

The attraction is commanded by Daniel Rezende, who directed “Turma da Mônica: Laços” and “Turma da Mônica: Lessons”, and features the same film actors: Giulia Benite (Mônica), Kevin Vechiatto (Cebolinha), Laura Rauseo (Magali) and Gabriel Moreira (Macchia).

Additionally, Milena (Emilly Nayara), who was featured in “Monica’s Gang: Lessons”, is considered the fifth member of Turma, as shown in the official poster.

The recordings also took place in the same places as the films, in Poços de Caldas, Minas Gerais.

New arrivals include Carminha, played by Luiza Gattai (who debuts as an actress after “The Voice Kids”), her mother Madame Frufru, played by Mariana Ximenes (“Uma Loucura de Mulher”), and Feitoso Araújo, the Capitan Brutto , played by Fernando Caruso (“Vai que Cola”).

Entitled “Turma da Mônica – A Série”, the attraction will arrive on the Globoplay streaming platform on Thursday 21 July.
