In terms of popularity, it’s up to everyone to decide who the best Cobra Kai character is. When it comes to determining which is stronger, more objective criteria are needed. Thus, fans enjoyed counting the number of matches won by each character in the series to determine the ranking.
Surprisingly, neither Daniel LaRusso nor Johnny Lawrence—two rivals from the Karate Kid movies—appear in this ranking of Cobra Kai’s ten strongest fighters. And the character that takes the top position is none other than… Samantha LaRusso with a win percentage of 89%.
Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence are both underrated
The latter is ahead of Bobby Brown, a former member of Cobra Kai in the Karate Kids movies. He recorded a score of 100% but was relegated to the second position due to the fact that he played only one match. The ratio of matches won / matches drawn, therefore, favors Samantha in this ranking, which was established by the American YouTuber CK With Sean.
Chosen (88%), Terry Silver (80%) and Kenny (80%) are third, fourth and fifth in this ranking, respectively. The top 10 best Cobra Kai fighters also include Miguel (72%) and Rob (66%). With a 79% win rate, Daniel LaRusso is tied for sixth with Tory.
Bobby Brown won his only match in the first Karate Kids movie
Johnny Lawrence, on the other hand, is completely out of this ranking, as his win percentage of only 50% makes him one of the weakest characters in the series. It must be said that things started very badly for him, from the first Karate Kid movie, losing to Daniel LaRusso in the finals of the All Valley tournament.
But remember that this ranking is not yet final. Changes could still happen at the end of the third part of the final season of Cobra Kai, which is expected starting February 13th exclusively on Netflix!
