In the film directed by Robert Eggers, which is scheduled for release in 2025 in Brazil, Nicholas Hoult played Thomas Hutter
Interpreter of Thomas Hutter in Nosferatuone of the most anticipated films of 2025 (but which only hits Brazilian cinemas on January 2, 2025), Nicholas Hoult revealed how the director, Robert Eggersimposed a somewhat unusual rule on the film set.
During conversation with Hugh Grant within the framework of Vanity Fair, Hoult revealed how the filmmaker didn’t encourage the cast to move their eyebrows. It is worth remembering how the two actors acted together 21 years ago, in the film A Big Boy (2002), directed by Chris and Paul Weitz.
“There’s not a lot of laughter in NosferatuI would say. It’s gothic horror and Robert Eggers is a master at creating worlds and tension. For him, it was about honesty and authenticity, but he also gave us a lot of films to watch in terms of performance,” he recalled. “A lot of Soviet cinema, films from [Ingmar] Bergman. He hates it when actors move their eyebrows.”
Then, grant he responded: “ChristI will never work with him then! I can’t keep my face still.” So, Nicholas Houltwhich will be the next Lex Luthor of cinemas, admitted how “the issue of eyebrows is sometimes complicated.”
