The Oscars ceremony will be broadcast for the first time in the United States

The Oscars ceremony in 2025 will be a little different for Americans. For the first time the event will be broadcast on a streaming service. And the chosen one of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences was Hulu, a platform linked to Disney.

Traditionally, the world’s largest film festival usually airs on American screens on the ABC television channel – and this has been the case for 50 years in a row. Next year, though, people will have this additional option – and will be able to watch the entire prize again the next day (still on Hulu).

The official announcement of this news was made by the Academy itself on social media.

The 97th Oscars ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, March 2 at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood.

We remind you that the list of Oscar finalists will be published on December 17th and the award candidates will be announced on January 17th.
