Georges investigates Michael
At the police station, Damien compared and analyzed the Fred Lecomte card that Victoire had found in her novel’s jacket the day before with the old card she had written to him when they were in high school together. He informs Georges that the DNA has not been officially isolated. In turn, the graphologist confirmed that it was indeed the same on the two cards. Additionally, Damien analyzed the readings taken in the disused warehouse where Fred had the meeting. The footprints indicate that the person he met there was wearing a size 43 shoe and wearing insoles.
After which Georges surprises Michael looking for Fred Lecomte’s file. He immediately alerts Martin, who demands an explanation. Michael admits that Fred has every reason to blame him and to believe that he is responsible for his sister’s condition, at least indirectly. Indeed, Mikael says that during the investigation he faced a problem because the chocolate factory worker, Marion, who suffered from erotomania, was obsessed with him. After that, the commissioner dismissed him from the investigation and assigned him to another case. Michael thinks his colleagues did wrong and Lorena is probably innocent.
A little later, Martin surprises Georges, who is searching Michael’s closet. Georges shows his boss that he wears a size 43. He wants to analyze the soil under his shoes to verify his alibi and find out if he was jogging when Freddy disappeared. But Martin forbids George to do this behind his colleague’s back. Instead, he instructs him to track down Marion to verify Michael’s claims.
Back home, Michael runs into Octavia, who has come home from school early due to a migraine. Chloe steps in and tries to comfort her cousin, who admits to being confused about an old investigation that has resurfaced. Once alone, Michael swallows the medicine.
At the police station, Damien informs Georges and Martin that Marion was holding a tasting at the chocolate factory the day Jade was killed. Georges suggests that Michael covered up for Marion, who is the real killer. He also tried to contact her, in vain. Martin believes that he is being investigated by the prosecutor’s office and should wait for Marion’s call. Meanwhile, the police still have no trace of Freddy.
Meanwhile, Victoire and Samuel take Romane to the Christmas market. The three of them take a photo with Santa, not realizing that someone is watching. In the evening, when he returns home, Samuel confesses to William that he loves taking care of Romane. He realizes that he missed out on something cool because of fatherhood. Although he thinks it is too late, he hopes to become a great grandfather.
At the police station, Bastien goes to the living room and gives Nordin the wallet he accidentally found on the beach. The object appears to have spent some time in the water. Inside, Nordin discovers Fred Lecomte’s ID…
Christel wants to go to Canada with Bruno and Valentin
At the Christmas market, Christel gathers Bruno and Valentin to surprise them: she offers them plane tickets to Montreal. By leaving that evening, they would be just in time for the opening of Charlie and Nathan’s restaurant. Christel will meet Bruno and Valentin at 16:30 in Spon to take a taxi to the airport.
Surprised, Valentin admits to Bruno that he doesn’t want to see Nathan in these conditions. He has suffered greatly from his departure and absence, and therefore does not want to find him for only four days, when he will probably be very busy. Bruno also begins to have doubts. Especially since he doesn’t want to leave a young woman alone on vacation in Sete.
At 4:30 p.m., Valentin goes to Spon to tell Christel that he is not going to Montreal. Bruno finally joins them and declares that he won’t go either. Christel gets into the taxi alone, without any hard feelings.
Valentin and Bruno stay together for dinner at Spoon. Kristel, whose flight was canceled due to a storm, finds them. He admits that he is disappointed that he won’t be able to see Sylvain again because he misses her so much. Valentin then suggests to Bruno and Christel that the three of them celebrate Christmas.
Bastien agrees to spend Christmas with Melody
In high school, Bastien tells Melody that he wants to spend Christmas with her. The latter gladly accepts and offers them to invent their own tradition. Then they choose to organize a contest for the worst Christmas sweater.
At the end of the day, Bastien sends a voicemail to Violetta to thank her for encouraging him to get closer to his mother. He is very happy to spend Christmas with her.
