Firefighters were initially considering the possibility that the bus driver had lost control of the steering wheel after one of the tires burst.
With the impact of the granite block under the vehicle, the bus caught fire. A car following closely collided with the rear part of the trailer and the three occupants were rescued in serious condition.
The vehicle was carrying 45 passengers. The health conditions of the truck driver who fled the scene are not yet known.
