A new trailer for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power was shown at Comic-Con in San Diego, teasing a little more about what’s to come for the highly anticipated Amazon Prime Video series. J.R.R. Marking the third major adaptation of Tolkien’s revered books, following Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies, Rings of Power explores the vast history of the Second Age of Middle-earth.
The series will follow both new characters and younger versions of other familiar characters as they prepare for a new war against the rise of evil in Middle-earth. Previous Rings of Power trailers have shown some of what to expect when the series begins in September, taking a closer look at the show’s many characters, epic battles, and spectacular world.
The images touched on all the main races in the series, including hobbits, elves, dwarves and men, and also focused on a very young Galadriel, played by Morfydd Clarke. The elf seems to play a crucial role in the events of the series.
This new trailer shows the peaceful times, but “The sky is strangeAs the dwarf says. Then we see Galadriel put her hand on the globe and we see the bloody battles unfold. Hell, not to mention we’ll likely get our first glimpse of Sauron and the Balrogs.
