A fire at a Corsican construction site, in Cachoeirinha, is consuming the water pipes stored on site. The flames started around 2.30pm this Monday (06/01).

The expert was on site and discovered that the courtyard is located next to the Cruzeiro stadium, on Ari Rosa dos Santos street.

The firefighters intervened on site, but the water in the truck was not enough to put out the flames, having to return to the base for refueling, while the flames remained high.

The one who was worried was a resident of an apartment building behind the courtyard, because the soot was entering the houses directly and the dark smoke indicated that it was made of rubbery material.

The causes of the start of the flames are not known, but outside the courtyard, on vacant land owned by Cruzeiro, flames also broke out in the undergrowth.

At 3pm the flames were already visible from Canoas.
