The actress and singer was asked about the possibility of starring in an Audrey Hepburn biopic, but considers the idea unlikely
Ariana Grande31 years old, commented on the rumors about playing the iconic Audrey Hepburn in a biopic during the National Board of Reviewwhich took place on Tuesday, January 7th. In an interview with Access Hollywoodthe star of Wicked responded to the speculation with humor:
My God, why is everyone asking me this? You guys are crazy! You guys are crazy, I love you.
The question came up after the interviewer noted that Grande was “channeling a little Audrey Hepburn” in her recent style. The singer, who has opted for looks inspired by the Hollywood glamor of the 1950s and 1960s, explained that Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe have always been her references.
“I’ve always been drawn to ’50s and ’60s silhouettes, a retro vintage style. I can’t think of a time when that wasn’t on my moodboard. My stylist, Mimi [Cuttrell]and I’m dedicating ourselves completely to this.”

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight Regarding the possibility of playing Hepburn, Grande said that the project would have to be done impeccably. When the interviewer commented that she would be up to the role, the singer thanked: “That’s very kind.”
Rumors about Ariana’s possible casting began after the artist wore pieces with a strong Hepburn influence, such as the dress Givenchy yellow from the 1966 archive, displayed in the Golden Globes 2025. The choice, according to Grande, was a reference to her character Glinda in Wicked and the famous phrase “follow the yellow brick road”.

A Givenchy archivist highlighted the dress’s importance (via People): “The piece is pale yellow silk with a hand-embroidered bodice, part of the epic era of Givenchy/Audrey Hepburn couture, one of the most important unions between designer and muse.”
