‘Please bring him back for at least one episode’: Bridgerton fans furious after bad news about Season 4

With three seasons and already a spin-off, The Bridgerton Chronicles is one of Netflix’s most popular series. It’s one of the most-watched fics of all time on the platform, and fans are looking forward to Season 4, which is currently in production.

The next episodes of the series, produced by Shonda Rhimes and adapted from the book series of the same name by Julia Quinn, will focus on Benedict Bridgerton and his future wife Sophie.

Bridgerton fans will be able to get the first scoop during a special Valentine’s Day event. And while they’re hoping for exclusive Season 4 pics with Luke Thompson and Yerin Ha, they’re also crossing their fingers for a reunion with one of the show’s stars.

Phoebe Dinevore still not in “Bridgerton”?

He’s the first Bridgerton to shine on the series, and it’s his story that launched the Netflix production. Daphne Bridgerton, played by Phoebe Dinevoor, is actually the first heroine of the series, and yet she is no longer in the fiction.

After a few appearances in Season 2, Daphne was absent in Season 3. However, the actor has always stated his intention to return to The Bridgerton Chronicle. When asked about season 4, the actor said direct that was not requested:

“They haven’t called me yet and I think they’re going to shoot season 4 now. So I’m still waiting for that call.”

Angry fans, they want Daphne back

This announcement angered Bridgerton fans. They believe the series could benefit from his presence. Especially since in Julia Quinn’s novels, Daphne is always there for her brothers and sisters, even if she is no longer at the center of the stories.

“Please bring him back for at least one episode.”

“We owe the show a success, and then it just gets tossed aside. Phoebe deserves better.”

“He really wants to play Daphne again, it’s very sad.”

In the 3rd season of the series, Daphne is invisible to the point that there is no news from her. Fans note this inconsistency and the fact that her brothers and sisters do not even mention her, despite the fact that family is very important to Daphne. They are also concerned with the plot of future seasons, which sometimes includes the presence of Daphne, if we refer to the books.

“Shouldn’t she be important in Eloise’s book? She should be remembered for the role.”

“I think it’s hard for her to be without Simon 🙁 But if John Sterling’s story is going like the books, then how are they going to explain Daphne not being there for her sister?”

One problem for Bridgerton’s writers is that Régé-Jean Page, who plays Simon, Daphne’s husband, left the series at the end of its first season. However, Daphne was very present without him in Season 2 of the series, and as fans point out, she can live without him and support her family.

“I’m sad too. Her story is the most interesting. The chemistry was so different from other couples. I’d love to see it, especially if she wants to. I don’t understand why she was left out. She can still exist without her husband…”

Bridgerton authors have not commented on this topic at this time. Will they heed the crowd’s call? That seems compromised for Season 4, even if Phoebe Dynevor may have lied so as not to spoil a potential presence. You will have to wait for the first information or trailers to find out more.
