After Scammer, the color of the money tells the story of Eddie Felson, who says Fortech, Billiard Champion, Interter, former Arnaka, who became a representative of alcohol. One day he meets a promising young billiard player and the old demons are then restored to the surface.
If Martin Scorsese’s film remains one of the most emblem in the world, this game often produces delicious scenes in films. You have to admit eleven here, but before you start, here are the secrets of several films about the color of money.
Did you know?
Three times the scorpion
Martin Scorsese makes three performances in the color of money: Remove the sound at the beginning of the movie, which explains “game 9”; Billiard player at 1:30 am. And a man who goes to his dog in the Atlantic City Casino. Note that the animal, called Zoe, is a film director.
Very real inspiration
Eddie Felson’s character, performed by Paul Newman, has been inspired by a real billiard player since the 1950s, Eddie Parker, who was a friend of Walter Tevis with the author of the book.
Many rewards
It is mentioned twice in the Golden Globe of 1987, with the color of the money in the following five categories. Paul Newman receives a statue for the best actor in his first 7 nominations. It did not exist from the ceremony, it was a Robert Visa that receives Trophy on its behalf.
