deleted scene

In a sequence that ultimately didn’t make it into the final cut of the two towers, Faramir had a dream in which he saw Frodo suffer the same fate as Gollum and was physically transformed after being consumed by the power of the ring. Although the scene is nowhere to be seen, photos of Elijah Wood in his make-up can be found online.

fake interview

In 2003, during the promotion of The Return of the King, Dominic Monaghan (interpreter of the Mayor of the trilogy) played a prank on Elijah Wood and trapped him during an interview, pretending to be a German journalist and asking. A series of questions, each more improbable and unreasonable than the next. Which offers memorable laughs to the two actors.

A motivated actor

Unlike most actors in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Elijah Wood is American, not British. Eager to join the adventure, the actor worked hard on his accent, even filming his own trials in a hobbit costume before sending it to Peter Jackson. An initiative that paid off.
