The president will visit France in early June
The President of the Republic, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (PT), spoke on Tuesday (18) with his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron, and discussed negotiations for the end of the war between Ukraine and Russia.
On social networks, the European leader said that the two have agreed that “peace in Ukraine will only be possible through negotiations that collect Russia and Ukraine at the same table”.
Macron added in his message that the Eastern Europe truce “is possible”, but he warned that the “international community must mobilize”.

The French president “reiterated his support for Cop-30” to BelĂ©m and undertaken to Lula to discuss a joint initiative to “expand the climate funding available for developing countries”.
