During the recordings on Friday and last season in Better to call SaulBob Odenkirk, who plays the protagonist Saul Goodman, he had a heart attack on set. Fortunately, he was rescued in time and recovered without consequences.

According to Bob Odenkirk, the heart attack on the set occurred during the filming of episode 8, called point and shoot. The actor explains that it was during the scene where Lalo Salamanca (Tony Dalton) walks into Jimmy and Kim’s (Rhea Seehorn) apartment and confronts them.
Odenkirk had previously stated that the heart attack would occur in the recordings of episode 9, Fun and games, but it was all a mess. He explains that as soon as he got back on set, already healed, he started recording the next episode, which left him confused. Also, Bob explains that he has no recollection of the time he was attacked.
“We didn’t go back and immediately filmed what was being filmed that day,” says the interpreter of Saul Goodman in Better to call Saul. “We had a different director. We had Michael Morris directing. At some point in the shoot, Vince Gilligan came back and we captured the final moments of the scene with me, Lalo and Kim,” explains the actor.
Bob Odenkirk he says surviving a heart attack made him appreciate every day of his life even more and that it was great to see his friends and fans of the series cheering for his recovery. Her co-star Rhea says the day of the accident was the worst and best in her life when she found out she was fine.
