It’s hard not to wrap in front of this excessive movie, directed by Zabou Breitman and Florent Vassault

It all starts with family photos. An unknown family whose knowledge is impressed. In the center: this guy. Who is it? What is his story? What if each person was also an involuntary tale hero? Vertical family research where reality and fiction are combined until sometimes united.

He then decides to imagine and performs the actors within 24 hours of his life (including Isabel Nant and François Berland) before he leaves the footsteps of this mysterious guy of the title to see what they can imagine in his life.

If the artistic part is the least convincing of these, the investigation is still attractive. And their association gives an unusual result that affects the essence of the cinema: including assembling fixed images to animate and make them on the screen, small or large. Through the effects of the assembly in his game, even Zabu Britman manages to unite the past and the present when he immediately claims that he has turned his segment to not be informed of the study of his accomplice, which was appointed to the Caesar Belle Epoque Assembly.

And when the two parts of them meet and the fate of their protagonist is revealed to us, a bit that the film is stronger and moving. When convincing (in particular, in the name of the character), the puzzle parts are added to each other to have a story full of joy, dramas, and fate, and alternation. Sometimes it is said that the chance is doing good and it is even more true here, as the viewer is far from suspicion of dramaturgy hidden behind the photos found by Zabu Brightman and Florent Vaso.

Beyond clutches

Not happy with movement, the boy also manages to be universal. Because his story allows him to cope with very current topics, but each of them to talk about family questions, passing time, and which reflects links between relatives, or even what a photo taken at the exact moment, can also show, hide, and say. Especially for this reason, the feature film will succeed in the same touch, surprisingly, because we could not imagine that the story that initially, as a stranger, could talk to us.
