Faced with over 10,000 fans in the Ibirapuera gym in San Paolo, Osasco São Cristóvão Saúde has returned to the top of national volleyball. This Thursday (1st), the team defeated Sesi Bauru of 3 sets out of 1 (26/24, 19/25, 28/26 and 25/20) and won the title of Women’s Volleyball Superleague 2024/2025, ending a 13 -year fast.

With the victory, Osasco raises his sixth Superleague trophy and is equal to Minas as the second largest champion in history. Now, only Rio de Janeiro, with 12 successes, has more titles.

The final was marked with balance and exciting turns. In the first set, Osasco started well, but he saw Sesi Bauru react and reach the set point. Also so, the men of Luizomar de Moura showed coldness and closed on 26/24. In the second set, the Bauruense team was more efficient in blocking and linked the game by winning by 25/19.

The third set was the most disputed from the night, with constant exchanges of leaderships and moments of tension in the stands. Osasco took advantage of the opponent’s mistakes in the decisive points and won by 28/26. In the fourth and last set, the Osasquense team opened an advantage in advance and, also with the reaction of Sesi Bauru, kept the pressure and closed on 25/20, guaranteeing the cup.

In addition to the Superleague title, Osasco completes the triple Crown in the 2024/2025 season. The team also won the Paulista Championship and Brazil Cup, both in decisions against the same Sesi Bauru.

The Brazilian Volleyball Confederation will still announce the national team of the season, including the MVP of the final.
