Amid Todd Chrisley’s legal woes, his daughter explains the real reason she decided to reconcile with him

Todd Chrisely and his family are currently exploring a new reality following his fraud trial. Last month the Patriarch Chrisley and his wife Julie were found guilty bank fraud, tax evasion and other related offenses. Since then, the two have been candid about their plight and how they are handling it ahead of their sentencing this fall. Meanwhile, some of Chrisley’s older children like Savannah, has ruled on the guilty verdict . Once separated from her family, Lindsie Chrisley has since spoken openly and is opening up about the real reason why she and her father have finally reconciled.

Lindsie Chrisley, the eldest daughter of Todd and his ex-wife Teresa Terry, has left the family’s flagship reality show, Chrisley knows best, after five seasons in 2017. From there, she tried to distance herself from her large brood and focus on her family, even though she and husband Will Campbell split in July 2021. Even amidst her personal struggles, Lindsie she had been adamant in not wanting to join loved ones. She said the 31-year-old eastern time last September that “there will never be a reconciliation” and that he would only respond to the family whenever they would make a public statement.

However, it appears that she and her brood are on good terms these days. With everything going on, you’d think her father’s and stepmother’s legal troubles would be the catalyst for their reunion. But as the former USA Network alum explained, it was a different situation that brought them together:

I think the most common question is that people want to know if we have reconnected due to the lawsuit or my divorce, and I can tell you with certainty that there has not been a reconnection for a legal reason. Nothing like this has ever happened.

So it looks like it was Lindsie Chrisley’s divorce that brought her back to Todd and the rest of the family. This meeting may have come as a surprise to some, due to her belief that she doesn’t want to fix things. But as she explained her in hers southern tea podcast (opens in a new tab)it was her father who handed an olive branch:

After my divorce affairs went public, my dad posted, “I’m here, I love you, whatever is going on in your life right now, I see it.” … So it’s really more about how we were able to reconnect. So to answer this question in a nutshell, it was actually because of my divorce.

The podcast host also explained that her father included a Bible verse as a source of encouragement for her and possibly her 9-year-old son, Jackson. This family support is truly invaluable, especially when you are going through the breakup of your marriage. But now I think most would agree that Chrisley’s parents need a little encouragement.

when Todd and Julie Chrisley spoke for the first time after being found guilty, they said it was “a very sad and heartbreaking time for [their] family, ”but they said they were still holding on to their faith in the midst of it. Todd Chrisley later admitted he was “struggling” with the general situation, but apparently their marriage became stronger because of that. This bond, as well as the one just forged with Lindsie, will likely be crucial why Todd and Julie (facing up to 30 years in prison) prepare for the sentence of 6 October.

All time, Chrisley knows best continues to air new episodes Thursday at 9 p.m. ET on USA Network and those who need to catch up can stream the show using Pavone Premium subscription .
