The Vatican has published a list of presidents and heads of government that will participate this Sunday (18) in the inaugural mass of the pontificate of Pope Leo XIV.
The celebration will begin at 10 (local time) and will take place in Basilica and São Pedro Square, which is already crowded with the faithful.
The mass will be held in the place where, according to the Christian tradition, the apostle Pietro, founder of the Catholic Church, was martyred on a overturned cross.
Overall, there will be 156 foreign delegations, including one from Brazil, led by vice -president Geraldo Alfmin.
Italy will be represented by President Sergio Mattarella and Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, as well as by other government members. All the authorities will be positioned in order, which will begin with Italy, in Peru, where Robert Francis Prevost has been a missionary for almost two decades and the United States, his country of origin.
