Recent Blumhouse Horror Movie Jason Blum Admits It’s “Terrible”

Blumhouse is a name synonymous with many Iconic horror movie franchise But as with all horror, not all films produced by Jason Blum’s company are winners. The CEO was recently in Locarno where he confessed that one of his latest horror films of him was actually “terrible”.

Anyone with an affinity for horror movies ea Paramount + subscription I may know exactly what Jason Blum is talking about. Variety caught Blum’s thoughts recently, where he admitted the 2021 release Paranormal activity: next of kinIt wasn’t a good movie. blum says:

Jason Blum threw no punches when it came to Paranormal activity: next of kin, released in 2021 on Paramount +. The film follows a team hoping to make a documentary about why the main character’s mother abandoned her, so they travel to an Amish town where all sorts of scary things happen. The film was largely panned by critics (is It failed to make Gossipify’s best horror list of 2021 ), and apparently, it’s not a movie Blum is proud of.

What’s even more interesting about the news is that Jason Blum teased that the long-running horror franchise could be coming to an end. Blum discussed his current situation with the franchise and what he might take for the future. paranormal activity movies to watch:

Blumhouse currently has Paranormal activity: the other side well on its way with a tentative release date of 2023. Assuming Jason Blum doesn’t indicate that the film is finished, it will take a long time to get the studio to give the green light to another film in the franchise for some time. I’m definitely interested in seeing a director like Scott Derrickson step in to make a film paranormal activity film (especially after ends with the black phone ), but who knows which famous directors are lining up to do something for the franchise (Gossipify’s Jason Wiese is a fan of Jordan Peele, but would you give him a chance? )?

Also, considering the impact paranormal activity has had in pop culture over the course of his career, it’s hard to believe we won’t see some sort of remake or reboot in the next few years. Maybe when there is a genre like “found VR video” or something like that, although I’m not sure I want to try such a franchise in VR. It’s also possible that Jason Blum will change his mind about the movies though Other side it’s a success, but we’ll have to wait and see if it happens.
