Lou Barlia, cinematographer for “Love Story,” “Jaws” and “Steel Magnolias,” has died at age 92.

Lou Barlia, who worked as a cameraman on films Love story, Death wish, jaws s a big cold This one Brighton beach souvenirs, steel magnolias s franco and john, died. He was 92 years old.

Barlia died on June 25 at her home in Las Vegas after a brief battle with mesothelioma, her family said.

In her four-decade career, Barlia has also looked to the serpico (1973), Second Avenue Prisoner (1975), Next stop, Greenwich Village (1976), slap (1977), Single woman (1978), Laura Mars’ eyes (1978), Superman (1978), Glory (1980), mr mother (1983), an occasional tourist (1988), Hudson Hawk (1991) and Bruno (2000), among many other films.

He received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Society of Cinematographers in 2000, the year of his retirement.

Born and raised in New York, Barlea began his love of photography in his teens when his father brought home a camera he found on a train track in the city.

He attended the New York School of Industrial Arts and served as a combat operator in the US Army during the Korean War, earning a Bronze Star and other citations along the way.

Barlea found work in commercials, documentaries and television shows in the 1950s before making her first major feature film with Arthur Hiller. Love story (1970).

Barlia has never lost interest in photography, cameras, cars, flying devices (licensed and classified for instruments), fitness equipment and technology, her family noted.

Survivors include their children, Kevin and David; their wives, Daniella and Carlin; and her grandchildren, Michele, Nicole and Bodie.
