Be careful, spoilers! This article reflects the characters in the film.
For the first time, Gladis’ character appeared in évanouis de Zach Cregger, viewers get well in the chair. Heroin Justin (Julia Garner) sees him in a nightmare. Society is still far from suspicion that this very amazing face is the key to the disappearance of 17 children.
Actor Amy Madigan’s interpretation, Gladis is a young Alex Lily’s aunt, the only child in Justin’s class who disappeared that night. As a sick and homeless woman, Gladis was hosted by the parents of a young boy. First of all, he can, thanks to witchcraft rituals, control someone’s body and mind.
Inspiration behind Gladis
The most impressive in this character is her face: bright clothes, excessive makeup – making her look for clowns – and red hair – which really shows that it is just a wig.
Along with this antagonist, Zack Crager has success to create an amazing and terrible character that has nothing to do with other great monsters of envy. For separation, the filmmaker reveals his inspiration:
“I was very inspired by photographer Sindy Sherman, who produces self -molasses where she uses prostheses. It really explores this slightly strange grotesque, which I really like. I have always been a big fan of this artist. The idea of creating a character with this type of aesthetics that I liked very much. “

Director Zac Crager continues: “I also have a photo book that lives in Boca Raton, Florida, a city. These are pensioners who live there and wear clothes in very bright colors. There are lots of glasses, bags and jewelry and they are very fun and dynamic people. I liked the idea to have a character that was grotesque and very awesome. It seemed to me that it was an inexplicable and very cool terrain for the horror movie.“
Keep up with the secret
If you know more about Gladis, the filmmaker has just chosen to delete certain elements of his original script: “In the beginning, in my first scenario on the plane, Gladis had itself, and I realized that the less we knew about it, the better. It was more interesting to design our own history about it. So I delete lots of items as it is in his past, and I think it’s better. The stronger you are wondering where it comes from and what does it do. “
