20th Century Studios has released two international posters and a subtitled trailer for “The Menu”, a culinary horror starring Anya Taylor-Joy (“The Queen’s Gambit”) and Ralph Fiennes (the Voldemort of the “Harry Potter” franchise).
The darkly humorous storyline follows a couple (Anya Taylor-Joy and Nicholas Hoult, from “X-Men: Dark Phoenix”) and other wealthy guests as they set sail to a private island to take part in a lavish banquet prepared by the prestigious Chef Slowik ( Ralph Fiennes), with some shocking surprises.
Upon arriving at the venue, they are faced with a sinister atmosphere and discover that the main dishes on the menu are themselves. The meal etiquette is clear: run and avoid getting caught or becoming the first course.
The story was written by two talk show writers, Seth Reiss (“Late Night with Seth Meyers”) and Will Tracy (“Last Week Tonight with John Oliver”), directed by Mark Mylod (“Game of Thrones”) and Also from the cast includes Hong Chau (“Homecoming”), Janet McTeer (“Ozark”), Judith Light (“Transparent”), Reed Birney (“Home Before Dark”), Paul Adelstein (“Prison Break”), Aimee Carrero ( “The Offer”), Arturo Castro (“Mr. Corman”), Marco S. Cyr (“High School Musical: The Musical”), Rob Yang (“Succession”) and John Leguizamo (“John Wick: A New Day to Kill “).
The premiere is scheduled for November 17 in Brazil, one day before the US release.
