Karen Gillan and her three main co-stars certainly have no trouble getting jobs these days, with Dwayne Johnson now playing Black Adam in the DC Extended Universe, and Kevin Hart and Jack Black playing in the borders films, among other projects. So it’s understandable that it’s hard to release the four cast schedules so they can reunite, but as far as Gillan knows, Jumanji 4 in fact, it still happens. She may take a while before a timeline is set, but as Gillan noted, she and her co-stars hope to return to the franchise at some point.

On the plus side, at least Karen Gillan is more aware of what’s going on with the project than she was in July 2021, when she said she “knew nothing of the next”. A month later, Hiram Garcia, Dwayne Johnson’s production partner, said so Jumanji 4 was “in the hopper” and they are “focused on providing the best version of this story”.
