4 Evidence Odete Roitman May Have Faked His Own Death in ‘Vale Tudo’

In addition to the five suspects investigated by the police in the soap opera, theories raise the possibility that the villain is alive

Theories about the murder of Odete Roitman (Deborah Bloch) go wild on social media while, in Everything is finedelegate Mauro (Claudio Jaborandy) conducts investigations into the five main suspects in the crime. What if Odete wasn’t really dead?

One of the main theories circulating on social media claims that the villain faked her death to escape Brazil and get rid of all those who wanted to kill her. In this hypothesis, the billionaire would be the one who gives away the famous “banana” while fleeing the country, a scene originally played by Marcus Aurélius (Reginaldo Faria) in 1988. See four pieces of evidence that support the theory.

The role of the delegate

As soon as he arrives at the crime scene, Mauro warns that it is necessary to speed up the removal of the body, because he would receive calls from the Security Secretary of Rio de Janeiro asking him to hurry. In several chapters of the novel, Odete emphasizes that she is close to the secretary. Many believe that the whole matter could have been organized with him and that the investigation itself was nothing more than a kind of “smoke screen”.

Freitas’ farewell and closeness to Consuelo

In addition to the 470% increase in his secretary’s salary, Odete asks Consuelo for help (Belize Pombal) in “personal matters”. Afterwards, the villain has a somewhat exaggerated farewell with Freitas (Luis Lobianco), who offers her help with everything she needs. The scene suggests that the two may have helped Odete devise the plan and make it out alive.

The closed coffin

The strongest clue to this theory is the fact that the funeral wake took place with the coffin closed, which would have been a request of Odete herself, according to Celina (Malù Galli). In a situation like this, there is a possibility that another body could have been buried, as happened with Leonardo’s faked death (Guilherme Magon).

The attitude of Marcus Aurelius

A possible involvement of Marcus Aurélius (Alexander Nero) cover-up is also suggested. When the body is removed from the Copacabana Palace, the current CEO of the TCA states that “it must be difficult for Odete” to die in public. Leila (Carolina Dieckmann) the husband finds it strange to talk in the present tense, but covers it up with a conversation about life after death.

According to an interview by author Manuela Dias with Fantastic10 versions of the end of Everything is finewith the five suspects guilty or innocent. However, there is always the possibility of multiple versions.

Himself Aguinaldo Silvaauthor of Three Thanks and co-authored the original novel together Gilberto Braga AND Leonor Bassèresbelieves in possibility. During the launch party of the new telenovela in Sao Paulo, last Tuesday, the 7th, he expressed his opinion. “I realized that there is some suspicion that Odete is not dead. I suspect so too, but it is only a suspicion.”

The outcome of the mystery will be revealed in the final chapter of Everything is fineon October 17th.
