First part of the fifth and final season of the hit Netflix series premieres in November
Stranger Things is coming to an end, but Netflix doesn’t want a discreet farewell: on its social networks, the streaming platform revealed that fans will have one last opportunity to go to the Upside Down with a special event in São Paulo on November 23rd.
“Red alert, NERDS! Previews, screenings, fan events and MORE as we embark on one last adventure”promised the streaming platform, but without providing details about the programming.
In addition to the event in Brazil, Netflix announced that, in the next Stranger Things Daycelebrated every November 6th, fans should receive news from the fifth and final season of the series, such as new photos, the first five minutes of the new year and a live broadcast of the red carpet of the world premiere. What to expect from season 5 of Stranger Things?
Created by Duffer Brothers, Stranger Things follows a group of teenagers who face supernatural forces and secret conspiracies in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana, during the 1980s. Launched in 2016, the series has become one of Netflix’s most popular productions, accumulating more than 230 nominations and 70 awards, including Emmys and the SAG Award for Best Cast in a Drama Series.
The final season will be set in the fall of 1987, shortly after the events of Year Four. Hawkins is now in military quarantine following the opening of the Rifts, and Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown, Enola Holmes) needs to go back into hiding.
The core group — Mike (Finn Wolfhard, Ghostbusters: Beyond), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo, Honor Society), Luke (Caleb McLaughlin, Cowboy at All Proof), Will (Noah Schnapp, Abe) and other allies — unites to face one final threat: Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2) has disappeared, but its presence remains a growing threat.

In addition to the names already mentioned, the last year of Stranger Things still counts on the returns of Sadie Sink (The Whale), Winona Ryder (Ghosts Have Fun), David Harbor (Thunderbolts*), Joe Keery (Free Guy: Taking Control), Maya Hawke (Revenge & Punishment), Natalia Dyer (Velvet Buzzsaw: All Art is Dangerous), Charlie Heaton (The New Mutants), Brett Gelman (Fleabag) and the additions of Nell Fisher (Death of the Demon: The Rise), Jake Connelly (Between the Silence) and Alex Breaux (Waco: The Aftermath 2023) and Linda Hamilton (The Terminator)
When does the 5th and final season of Stranger Things?
The last chapter of Stranger Things will be released in three parts on Netflix: Volume 1 premieres on November 26, 2025with the first four episodes. Volume 2 arrives in December 25, 2025with three more episodes. Finally, the final episode premieres on December 31, 2025.
