Impeccable productivity and regularity for the man we usually call the master of suspense, with over fifty features in a career spanning just over fifty years, from the silent film era of the early 1920s to his last film, Family Plot, released in 1976.

Among Alfred Hitchcock’s impressive filmography, many works are considered true classics today: Death by Tail, Rear Window, Psycho, The Birds and The Man Who Knew Too Much.

We must not forget, of course, The Crime Was Almost Perfect, which was broadcast last night on Arte and which made us try to identify the career of this famous filmmaker with ten of his films using a single image. But before you get started, here are a few filming secrets about this 1954 film.

Hitchcock and Kelly

The Crime Was Almost Perfect marks Grace Kelly’s first collaboration with Alfred Hitchcock. In the same year he continued with Fenêtre sur cour then in 1955 La Main au collet. She will remain one of the director’s favorite actresses and establish herself as the archetype of Hitchcock’s blonde heroines.
