HBO Max blames Amazon for ‘House of the Dragon’ screening problems

Thousands of HBO Max users ran into glitches this Sunday (21) while trying to watch the first episode of the “House of the Dragon” series, and the stream blamed Amazon for its app’s flaws.

The number of users who complained of glitches while trying to watch “House of the Dragon” was over 3,000, according to The Hollywood Reporter. So Warner Bros. Discovery, which owns HBO Max, released a statement via a spokesperson, naming Amazon’s Fire TV devices as the culprit.

“House of the Dragon has been successfully watched by millions of HBO Max subscribers tonight … We are aware that a small portion of users attempting to connect via Fire TV devices are experiencing issues and are in the process of being fixed for affected users. “

Users who got to watch the series praised the first episode of the fantasy series, which is a prequel to “Game of Thrones”, set 200 years before the events of the original series. Matt Smith, who plays Prince Daemon Targaryen, has received the most praise when it comes to acting him.

The series is based on “Fire & Blood,” an encyclopedia-style novel written by George RR Martin that details the rise and fall of the Targaryen dynasty in Westeros. “The House of the Dragon” takes place during the reign of King Viserys I, who struggles to find his heir due to the lack of a son.

Episode 1 of “House of the Dragon” is now available on HBO Max and the second will arrive next Sunday, again at 10pm.
