Beneath the Netflix blizzard: Internet users turn on the sexy firemen of this Mexican telenovela

Available from August 17 on Netflix, Sous la ember is the platform’s new “caliente” sensation. Gradually climbing to the top of the viewership charts to reach the first place, this Mexican series found its audience, which did not hesitate with the number of episodes: 39 in total!

This contemporary telenovela was created by José Ignacio Valenzuela, a subject matter expert to whom we owe Who Killed Sarah? which also became a hit on Netflix. For his new production, the Chilean showrunner offers a new story of murder and pretense.

Sous la braise (High Heat in the English version and Donde Hubo Fuego in the original version) tells the story of Poncho Quiroga, a stripper who becomes a fireman and trains in the barracks run by Artemio Roman. The same Kazar was connected to the murder of his twin brother Daniel, who was a journalist and was found murdered.

At the same time, Ricardo Urzua is released from the prison he was sentenced to twenty-five years earlier. Although he always claimed his innocence, public opinion and the authorities considered him the “Reynosa Executioner”. Now free, this ex-firefighter wants to find his sons who never knew him, but also clear his honor by becoming the new commander of the barracks.

So Poncho finds himself in a downward spiral between romantic failures, family problems and a serial killer investigation. And if we add a little sexy firemen, the Sous la ember recipe broke Netflix subscribers, who did not hesitate to share their fiery feelings on social networks.

Translation: “I don’t know who needs to hear this, but #HighHeat #DondeHuboFuego is really amazing. I watched 19 episodes in 24 hours, I can’t stop. Luckily there are 39. Pure telenovela… Need to do more please!! “

Translation: “#HighHeat is a great show to put on in the background. Every time you walk into a room and remember to put it on, you’ll come across a sex scene. #Netflix”

Translation: “I every time Poncho Gluteus Maximus walks around in his boxers”

The Under the Ember series is available on Netflix.
