One of the most popular franchises in teen literature is returning to Disney+. The platform actually released the first teaser last night for its new event series, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, which was created with the help of novelist Rick Riordan.
The seven-volume Percy Jackson saga follows the adventures of a young teenager who discovers that his father is none other than the god of the seas: Poseidon. As he begins training to master his powers, the latter meets other demigods with whom he befriends; But very soon our young heroes will have to take part in the upcoming war against the evil titans…

Note that this new adaptation is not a sequel to the two previous films that were released: Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief (2010) and Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters (2013). The Netflix movie Adam’s Revelations in Time has announced that Walker Scobell has been tapped by the producers to lend his features to Percy Jackson in this series that fans of the novels have been eagerly anticipating!
