Animation fans have been experiencing a fun immersion for days with the arrival of Disney’s Pixar World. Now is the time for horror movie lovers to experience fear and fear with the premiere of Parque do Terror, by Warner Bros., which offers an interactive experience on several classics of the genre that have been successful at the box office in the cinema.
The Terror Park was officially opened on 9 September, however this Tuesday (13) a press conference was held to divulge more details about the exhibition and of course the (and I, a horror movie aficionado) wouldn’t miss it. information, ticket price, exhibition duration, space size and everything we thought about the experience.
It is worth mentioning that we have photographed only a few scenarios of the event, which will help you identify the relationship with the films through subtitles (as obvious as this may be to some). However, the activity includes much more, such as several interactive surprises that we will not tell you here so as not to spoil the visit, as well as much more visual content – which you can only get to know by going to the Park.
Experience
Warner Park’s Terror Park features sets, characters, costumes and soundtracks that are part of a beautiful combination on the list of the most acclaimed films in the horror genre. The experience, which is unprecedented in Brazil – no, it does not exist in the United States – mixes classic and modern films, recalling the moods of William Friedkin’s “The Exorcist”, Andy Muschietti’s “IT: The Thing”; “Doctor Sleep,” an adaptation of the Stephen King novel and directed by Mike Flanagan (sequel to “The Shining”; references are everywhere), and the famous franchise “The Conjuring”, created by James Wan.
To be more specific, the tour shows the eerie corridor of the hotel from “The Shining” and the mysterious room 237 of Dr. Sleep. Also guaranteed is the visit to the facade of the house of Regan Macneil, from The Exorcist, and with the right to the preparations of the same Macneil (it is bizarre) and of the feared Pazuzu. Also get ready to enter the sewers of IT: The Thing, which leads the audience into the universe of the terrifying Pennywise. Inside the world of The Conjuring, the tour features the Annabelle doll – Attention, it is the real doll used in the film, it came directly from Los Angeles – and the nun’s sunken eyes and sharp teeth.

I went through the exhibition halls twice, once to record scenarios, once to live in the moment, and then I conclude: this is one of the best experiences that you, a fan of the horror universe, will have. It is nostalgic, it is unique, full of details, colors, names, sounds, a journey that transports you into the film. Maybe you remember the nights of terror of the late Playcenter or the Hopi survivor Hari? Yes, but nothing compares to the flood of emotions and information that you receive, as cinema is history and part of culture – at the very beginning of the museum you can see on the walls a brief summary of the rise of horror films, i.e. entertainment and training in one place!

In an exclusive interview with, Marcos Bandeira, CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery, recalled that Brazil is an important horror market, from a cinematic point of view. “The Nun is proof of that,” said the CEO, stating that the film is the biggest at the box office for the company considering this new crop of the genre. Therefore, the Parque do Terror experience is just the beginning of a large project with several stages, as the company plans to further delve into the nostalgic wave and materialize other franchises and genres. For “Game of Thrones” fans, for example, good news, something similar may happen.
“It’s on our list, I can’t say for sure, but it’s on the list. But there are others that fans will also like and that will be a surprise, and they are for next year “, the director revealed to the report. Anxious?

Price of seats and tickets
Spanning over 1,700 m², the exhibition is full of featured actors, special effects, visual and sound, which set the scene and highlight the importance of the audiovisual style. The space explores fear of entertainment and shows how metaphors and learning can add up in many ways. Presented by the Ministry of Tourism and Bradesco with the support of Google Wallet, the interactive show is a creation and creation of Time For Fun and Thor Produções, curated by Warner Bros.
Tickets cost from R $ 25 to R $ 110 and are now available on the Tickets For Fun website. The experience takes place on the 2nd floor of the Shopping VillaLobos, in Sao Paulo.

Although curious, of course, we also spoke with Francesca Alterio, Marketing and Festival Director of T4F (Time For Fun), and we asked ourselves what the total value of the investment was to make the “joke”. “Several million, several and several million reais. He [o Parque] It was produced here, all the pieces, the set design, the setting, the actors, the costumes, the wigs, the makeup, everything was done here, but I owe the exact investment number, “he said.
“[Aliás] the matrix was very interested in working on this idea. One thing Warner plans to work on more and more is what we call “assets.” If we can make a good event, we can bring more and more things to Brazil, “added Bandeira, referring to Warner Bros. which is located in California, USA.
* Asset is a term used to express the assets, values, claims, rights and the like that make up the assets of a person or company. Asset companies manage these and other investments.

Will there be Terror Park in other states?
To the delight of fans from other states, Alterio also informed during the press conference that the teams are studying to bring the Park to other locations and regions, but unfortunately nothing has been defined yet.
“Our priority was to debut the project, understand audience feedback and the impact of the content, and then understand the next step. We have seen that our sales opening has already been a great success, so I think we have already demonstrated the concept of that experience. We are excited to take it to other markets, but we don’t know what they are yet. ”
Regarding the criteria for choosing the Park of Terror films, as a representative of Warner Bros., Bandeira explained that the intention was to bring fans closer to the oldest and most recent classics; and that’s exactly what the show offers, a new kind of connection with movies, as well as introducing the whole history of the genre and, of course, perpetuating a quality relationship with Warner Bros.
“When we create an experience like this, we bring our intellectual property to a different interaction with the fan. People will see our very famous brands and it is a way for us to interact with these characters. I am sure that the fans will experience a production of the highest level, I am sure they will have a lot of fun ”, she concluded with an answer to everyone at the press conference.

The project was designed specifically for the Halloween season, which traditionally takes place in October, so although there are currently only tickets available until the first half of October, it is very likely that new tickets will be on sale soon. There is currently no end date for the show, but it is classified as a “short season”. It is worth noting that, as the organizers mentioned, starting next year, more news and immersive experiences from Warner Bros. will be announced.
: the indicative mark to enter the Terror Park is 12 years. The facilities are accessible and have audio description and pounds. Visits last approximately 40 minutes and take place from Tuesday to Sunday, from 12:00 to 23:00 – exhibition times may vary.
