Reservation Dogs: Director’s series “Thor” has been renewed for season 3

American pay channel FX has announced the renewal of “Reservation Dogs” for its third season. The comedy series, set in Native American territory, revolves around four teenagers of Indian descent, who commit petty crimes in their small Oklahoma town, dreaming of saving up to go to California.

The series is the brainchild of New Zealand director Taika Waititi, director of “Thor: Love and Thunder”, descendant of the Maori tribe, and Sterlin Harjo, screenwriter of the award-winning independent film “Mekko” (2015), which has Seminole blood and torrent , and lives in the region covered by the plot. Harjo also directs the episodes and is co-producing the show with Waititi.

Critically acclaimed, “Reservation Dogs” is known for being the first series to feature an all-native team of writers, directors and cast, and is one of the most viewed FX shows made available on the Hulu streaming platform.

“‘Reservation Dogs’ continues its extraordinary trajectory with critics, fans and awards, all recognizing the unique brilliance of the series created by Sterlin Harjo and Taika Waititi,” said Nick Grad, president of original programming at FX. “FX is proud to join our partners at Hulu in ordering a third season with the incredible cast and all artists delivering one of the most original, engaging and entertaining shows on television.”

Sterlin Harjo also spoke of the renewal: “I could not be more proud of this series I created with my friend Taika Waititi. It was born from a conversation in Taika’s kitchen and has now entered the lives of people all over the world.”

The cast includes young D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai (“Beans”), Devery Jacobs (“The Order”), Paulina Alexis (“Ghostbusters: Beyond”) and newcomer Lane Factor in the lead roles, as well as adults. Tamara Podeski (“Tin Star”), Zahn McClarnon (“Westworld”), Macon Blair (“Blue Ruin”), Kirk Fox (“Briarpatch”), Matty Cardarople (“Stranger Things”) and the rapper twins Lil Mike & Funny Cap .

“Reservation Dogs” is made available in Brazil on the Star + platform.
