HBO has released a trailer and 13 photos of the upcoming 6th episode of the “A Casa do Dragão” series. The images highlight the passage of time between episodes, showing different characters as they age, as well as highlighting the new actors who have joined the cast.

Among the changes, Emma D’Arcy (from “Truth Seekers”) and Olivia Cooke (from “Bates Motel”) stand out as Rhaenyra and Alicent respectively. King Viserys (Paddy Considine, from “Peaky Blinders”) appears older and weakened, and his children with Alicent have grown up and try to follow family traditions with their dragons.

The change is necessary because a decade passed between episodes five and six. Thus, Prince Aegon, son of King Viserys and Queen Alicent, who was a child in previous episodes, is now a teenager played by Ty Tennant (the son of “Doctor Who” actor David Tennant).

Other new cast additions include John Macmillan (“Back”) as Laenor Velaryon and Nanna Blondell (“Circle of Trust”) as Laena Velaryon. In addition to these, the series will also add some characters born in the meantime, such as Baela (Shani Smethurst) and Rhaena (Eva Ossei-Gerning), daughters of Daemon (Matt Smith) and Laena.

The first spin-off of the “Game of Thrones” phenomenon (2011-2019) follows the Targaryen family, the clan of Daenerys, 200 years before the events of the original series, and focuses on the succession crisis of King Viserys, with the entitled to plots, battles, betrayals, dragons and epic time.

The dispute arises because Viserys chose his daughter, Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen as heir to the Iron Throne. Although she is prepared to reign from childhood, her rise is not accepted by those who prefer a man in power: the king’s brother, Prince Daemon, or her youngest son, Prince Aegon.

A ratings phenomenon, the series was renewed for a second season five days after its premiere. The inaugural episode was seen by 20 million viewers in the United States during this period, and information from HBO indicates that each new chapter has seen even more viewers.
