The trailer for the highly anticipated Nintendo movie “Super Mario Bros.” is counting down to its debut in the upcoming Nintendo Direct, which will take place on Thursday (6).
The beloved game universe animation was announced in 2018 as a collaboration between Nintendo and Illumination Entertainment, the animation studio behind “Minions”. Now, the companies are ready to release the first trailer for the film.
Since the announcement, little has been announced about “Super Mario Bros.” in addition to the vocal cast. Original English voice actors will be Chris Pratt as Mario, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser and Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach. Pratt previously described his performance as the iconic plumber’s voice as “unlike anything you’ve ever heard in Mario’s world before.”
Now, with the first trailer arriving today, we can finally know what Pratt means by this, after all it is very likely that the first trailer of the film contains the voice of Mario.
As for the “Super Mario Bros.” trailer, Nintendo has decided not to simply release the video to its platforms at a random moment. The company has chosen to organize a special Nintendo Direct for the presentation of the trailer, warning that nothing related to the games will be mentioned during the event.
Nintendo Direct for the trailer presentation will take place Thursday, October 6 at 5:05 PM ET. The trailer for “Super Mario Bros.” can be watched on Nintendo’s YouTube, or right here in this post, via the video attached below:
