Darknet-sur-Mer: Discover the new Prime Video comedy after Miskina

For Ben and Flo, two young Sunday hackers, life seems more interesting on the dark web than in their peaceful little fishing port. But the tranquility of Ponet-sur-Mer is soon shattered when Alkan and Veran, two Albanian mobsters who are well-rounded after being tricked online by two geeks, arrive in town.

Amazon Prime Video started the new school year with a bang! The platform forayed into the French production side with Miskina, a drama conceived and co-written by Melha Bedia that follows a thirty-something woman on a bit of a search for herself. A week later we continue with Darknet-sur-Mer, a true comedy in 6 episodes with a heterogeneous cast.

If Darknet-sur-Mer leads us into the underworld of the dark web, that’s just an excuse. The plot is much more focused on the quartet of characters played by Theo Fernandez (Ben), Leon Plazol (Flo), Artus (Alkan) and Imer Kutlovci (Veran) – the latter two from the Albanian mafia.

But rest assured, it’s not the worst! A scam created by our two heroes leads them to the center of a conflict between gangs. Expect humor but also some action.

Therefore, in terms of distribution, Theo Fernandez – Gaston Lagaffe or Donald de Touch – comes out with honors and proves once again that he has the fiber of comedy. But it’s Artus who emerges from the game as playful as he is sensitive. Just like Josephine Dry (Plan Coeur), who slips into the skin of a cop ready for battle.

Presented at the La Rochelle Festival, Darknet-sur-Mer won the Young Audience Award. It’s up to Prime Video subscribers to discover it.
