It was an amazing adventure where I made many new friends that I will keep for a lifetime. I want to thank the creators for giving me the freedom to Viserys I’ve never loved a character so much.
I want to give a lot of love and respect to Sian Brooke, who only came for a few days but changed the trajectory of my character with her brilliant performance and dedication to the job. His influence was etched into my last improvised words. He solved the missing piece of the puzzle in me and brought my story full circle.
From the moment of his death, so did Viserys. It was a love story. This is the secret I took with me. No matter how sick he is, he himself never asks for healing. He calmly accepts his suffering, never forgiving himself to his beloved wife during such torture in her last moments. Viserys was a gift. I am honored that he found me. It’s over now.“
Separately, the actress revealed that George Martin, author of the Game of Thrones novels, praised her performance and texted her during the interview. GQ Hype : “I got a text that just said, ‘Your Viserys is better than my Viserys’. It was from George RR Martin. I thought that would be good for me. Thank you for trusting me.”
The novelist himself shared his admiration for Paddy Considine in the post His personal blog. George A.R. And Martin thinks the actor’s performance will bring him an award at the next Emmy Awards ceremony:
“Sunday’s episode, ‘The Tide Lord,’ was everything I hoped it would be. Kudos to writer Eileen Shim, director Geeta Patel, our amazing cast…and especially Paddy Considine, King Viserys, for the first role of his name.”
The character that he’s created (along with Ryan and Sarah and Ty and the rest of our writers) for the show is so much more powerful and tragic and visceral than my own version of “Fire and Blood” going back and pulling my heads out and rewriting the whole story of his reign. Paddy deserves an Emmy for this episode alone. If he doesn’t get one, there is no justice. “
