‘Doctor Who’ special episode teaser with David Tennant and Shuti Gatwa released

If last spring everyone was waiting for the release of the special edition of the TV series “Friends”, and on January 1 of this year the whole world watched the special episode of the movie “Harry Potter”, now another fandom has turned on the waiting timer. BBC One has released the debut teaser for a special episode of Doctor Who to celebrate the show’s 60th anniversary.

Previously, Shuti Gatwa, best known for his role in the Netflix show Sex Education, was announced as the new Doctor. However, at the end of the final episode of the series, which aired on October 23, the Thirteenth Doctor, played by Jodie Whittaker, reverted to his former self. The hero took the form not of Gatwa, but of the Tenth Doctor, played by David Tennant from 2005 to 2010.

The BBC stated that Tennant would play the Fourteenth Doctor rather than a reprise of the Tenth. In addition, Gatwa was named the Fifteenth Doctor. Russell T Davies served as showrunner. Katherine Tate and Neil Patrick Harris will also star in upcoming episodes.

If you thought the arrival of David Tennant was a shock, then we have many more surprises on the way! The path to the Fifteenth Doctor is littered with mystery, horror, robots, puppets, danger and fun! And what does that have to do with the return of the wonderful Donna Noble? How, what, why? We give you a year to think, and then all hell will be set free! – emphasize the creators of the project.

Three episodes will premiere in November 2023.
