The creators of ‘Dark’ raised ‘1899’ as a 3-season arc, but… Has Netflix confirmed the second season of the series?

If you liked ‘Dark’, the German time travel puzzle from a few years ago, then you’ve probably devoured ‘1899’ as well. After all, behind the project, which has become one of the best science fiction series on Netflix, are the same creators, Jantje Friese and Baran Bo Odar.
Set aboard a huge ocean liner called Kerberosthe Netflix series ‘1899’ is an epic period drama that sets up a thoroughly riveting mystery with an international cast that immerses itself in suspense, science fiction, fantasy and horror.
If ‘1899’ turns out to be half as popular as ‘Dark’, then it is likely that there will be several seasons, since its creators have raised it as an arc in three installments and the season 1 finale of ‘1899’ left us with a brutal cliffhanger. But, Has Netflix confirmed the second season of ‘1899’?
Will there be season 2 of ‘1899’?
At the moment Netflix has not ruled on the matter, but everything seems to be a matter of time since the reception is being just as enthusiastic as with ‘Dark’, the previous work of the German filmmaker couple. We will be attentive, because the ad has to be coming down (and if not, we will get quite angry).

The first season took around six months to film, between May 2021 and November 2021, meaning a full year passed from when filming wrapped to the actual release in November 2022.

‘1899’ Season 2: Synopsis
After the events of the season finale of ‘1899’, we can venture that the plot will be located 200 years in the “future” (which is not the future, but the real world, since 1899 was the year in which the series was set). simulation), in 2099, aboard the spaceship Prometheus, with Maura trying to free the rest of the passengers trapped in the simulation controlled by her brother Ciaran.
