1. Check the connection

First of all, check your computer and notebook for network status. Since it needs a constant connection, the problem may simply be no connection, if you need to restart your computer and router to correct.

2. Repair Google Earth

In the program installation folder, you can scan the program and check for errors. To access the tool, simply:

  1. Go to “Computer” and open the “Program Files” folder;
  2. Find the “Google” folder and go to “Google Earth Pro”;
  3. Enter the “client” folder and find the “repair_tool.exe” file;
  4. Double click and wait for verification.

3. Update your graphics drivers

Keeping your computer’s drivers up-to-date reduces the chances of errors when opening or using Google Earth. To check and update the graphics driver, follow the steps below.

  1. In the search bar, type “device manager”;
  2. Open the “Display adapters” drop-down menu;
  3. Right-click and choose “Update Driver”;
  4. Wait for verification and installation, if there is an update.

4. Adjust the DPI of Google Earth

  1. Right-click the Google Earth icon;
  2. Access “Properties”, then enter the “Compatibility” menu;
  3. Click “Change high DPI settings”;
  4. Select the “Program DPI” option;
  5. Click “OK” to finish.
