The next big title in the legendary Square Enix series, Final Fantasy XVI, will hit stores in June 2023 with a timed exclusive on PS5
During the awards for the best games of the year at The Game Awards 2022 this Thursday (8), the Square Enix released a new trailer of Final Fantasy XVI and confirmed the release date of the game.

Highly anticipated by fans of the Japanese distributor’s legendary saga, the title is already available for digital pre-order in the Standard and Deluxe editions, and should arrive in stores in June 2023, with a temporary exclusive on Playstation 5🇧🇷
The news was released alongside a new trailer that further highlights the game’s real-time combat system, the first in the series to fully focus on more intense gameplay, bringing clear inspirations from home titles such as hearts of the kingdom and the predecessor, Final Fantasy XV🇧🇷 The material also marked the beginning of the digital pre-order on PlayStation Store.
Two editions will be available: Standard, which includes only the pre-order bonuses: the “Braveheart” weapon, the gil (the game world’s currency) booster attachment “Amulet of Cattus Nympha” and the experience points booster attachment ” Eyeglasses”. of the Academic” —, and the Deluxe, which offers pre-order bonuses accompanied by a digital art book and soundtrack. Players control Clive Rosfield, a warrior given the title “First Shield of Rosaria” and sworn to protect his younger brother, Joshua, Dominant of the Phoenix, the Eikon (the summoning) of Fire. Clive is involved in a tragedy – which appears to involve the death of his brother – and then promises to take revenge on Ifrite, another Eikon from the game world related to the calamity he experienced.
In a publication on the PlayStation Blog, the company has also stepped up some of the mechanics we will see in the finished gameincluding Eikon’s battles, and revealed further aspects, such as accessibility: players interested only in the story will be able to use the “narrative mode”, which makes Clive automatically dodge some attacks and allows the execution of combos with the simple press of a button.
Final Fantasy XVI will hit stores on June 22, 2023, initially as a PlayStation 5 exclusive. PC includedalready confirmed to receive the game, will have to wait at least 6 months after this premiere when the contract with sony will be closed.
