The streaming platform Hulu has released the first photos of the series “History of the World, Part II”, a continuation of the classic comedy “The History of the World – Part I” (1981), written, directed and starring Mel Brooks for over 40 years years.years.
For those who don’t remember, “Part One” consisted of multiple segments set in different periods of world history, with parodies of the Stone Age, Ancient Rome, the French Revolution, the Spanish “musical” Inquisition, and the arrival of “Jews in space”.
Images from the series highlight different eras of “world history” that will be covered in the series, with each episode featuring a variety of skits set in different periods of human history. References to the Soviet Union, the Black Panthers and contemporary images can be seen.
The series stars and is executive produced by Brooks, along with new generation names such as actor-writers Nick Kroll (creator of “Big Mouth”), Wanda Sykes (“The Upshaw Family”) and Ike Barinholtz (“The Mindy Project” ).
The “History of the World, Part II” series does not yet have a premiere date, but is expected to arrive in Brazil on the Star+ platform.
